Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka made a stunning comeback from a 101-day injury layoff, scoring in his first game back to help the Gunners secure a 2-1 win over Fulham in the Premier League.
Saka, sidelined since December, struck in the 73rd minute, finishing off a precise assist from Gabriel Martinelli to double Arsenal’s lead at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners had taken the lead earlier in the 37th minute through Mikel Merino, who converted a pass from Ethan Nwaneri.
Despite Arsenal’s dominance, with 52% possession and four shots on target compared to Fulham’s three, the visitors made it a tense finish when Rodrigo Muniz scored in stoppage time (90+4), assisted by Ryan Sessegnon.
Arsenal, however, held firm to claim all three points.
The match was a physical battle, with Fulham committing 10 fouls to Arsenal’s two. Three yellow cards were issued—one to Arsenal’s Declan Rice (72’) and two to Fulham’s J. Andersen (52’) and S. Lukić (58’).
