The Federal Ministry of Education has expressed deep concern over a viral video showing an examination being conducted in an unsuitable environment at Unity Secondary School, Asaba, under the supervision of the Delta State Ministry of Education.
Under the leadership of Minister of State for Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, the Ministry described the incident as entirely unacceptable and assured the public that appropriate measures would be taken to address it.
The Ministry is currently working in collaboration with the Delta State Government and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to investigate the incident thoroughly and ensure corrective action is taken. The findings of the investigation will be made public when concluded.
Reaffirming its commitment to quality education, the Ministry emphasized the importance of a conducive learning and examination environment. It also reiterated its dedication to improving infrastructure in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda for the education sector.
