The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Jos Zonal Command, has decorated 28 newly promoted officers with their new ranks.
The ceremony, held on Wednesday in Jos, was presided over by the Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO), Mr. Joseph Udoabba. He congratulated the officers on their elevation, noting that they were among those who passed the corps’ recent promotion examination.
Udoabba urged the officers to renew their dedication and commitment to duty, stressing that promotion comes with higher responsibilities. He charged them to work harder to reduce road crashes and uphold the corps’ life-saving mandate.
“Promotion comes with more responsibilities. You must be dedicated to duty and loyal to the mandate of the corps. We expect renewed commitment by working tirelessly to ensure highway safety,” Udoabba said.
He also assured that the corps remains committed to improving the welfare of its personnel and appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting FRSC in achieving safer highways.
Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, Mr. Sylvanus Philemon, promoted to Assistant Corps Commander, pledged greater commitment to duty and to advancing the corps’ mission.
The newly promoted personnel include four Assistant Corps Commanders, 10 Chief Route Commanders, eight Superintendent Route Commanders, two Route Commanders, and four Deputy Route Commanders.
