The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has reassured Nigerian women, families, vulnerable groups, and the staff of her Ministry that “brighter days lie ahead”, anchored on strategic action and renewed dedication to service.
In a statement issued Thursday by her Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jonathan Eze, the Minister said brighter days will not be left to aspiration alone but will come through “deliberate actions and unwavering commitment.”
She stressed that her leadership is focused on turning government policies into real, measurable benefits for women, children, families, and vulnerable Nigerians through high-impact programmes that promote economic empowerment, strengthen social protection, and foster national development.
On staff welfare, Hon. Sulaiman-Ibrahim reaffirmed her resolve to entrench a culture of excellence, transparency, and accountability while providing a conducive work environment.
“Your commitment is the engine of our progress, and together we will build a legacy of service and transformative impact,” she told the Ministry’s workforce.
The Minister also highlighted her proactive interventions in distributing relief materials nationwide and reiterated her zero-tolerance policy towards gender-based violence. She noted that systems are being reinforced to support survivors and ensure justice.
Looking ahead, Hon. Sulaiman-Ibrahim revealed plans to convene a strategic retreat for Ministry staff to align policies and programmes with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I am confident that through our collective effort, we are laying a firm foundation for a future where every Nigerian woman and child can truly thrive,” she said.
