Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has pledged that his administration will remain focused on serving the interests of the people of the state.
Fubara gave the assurance on Friday after arriving at the Government House, Port Harcourt, following a warm reception at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
Expressing gratitude for the massive turnout, the governor described the welcome as a demonstration of love, confidence, and solidarity between his government and the people.
“I know everyone wanted to hear from me, especially when I landed at the airport. I was humbled by what I saw,” he said. “It was not just a celebration but a reaffirmation of the bond between this government and the people we are serving.”
Fubara assured residents that his administration would, by God’s grace, continue to uphold the values and policies that have earned the people’s trust. “We will keep doing those things that have made you love us. We appreciate you, and we love you, but remember God loves you more,” he stated.
He further disclosed that he would address the state officially at 6 p.m. to acknowledge and appreciate everyone who contributed to restoring normalcy in the state.
