Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has approved a reshuffle of three key positions within his cabinet as part of efforts to enhance coordination and improve service delivery across the state.
The development was announced in a statement released on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor.
According to the statement, Vincent Osas Uwadiae has been redeployed from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Lands and Housing, where he will now serve as Commissioner.
In the same reshuffle, the former Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff to the Governor.
Also affected is Gani Audu, who until now served as Chief of Staff. He has been nominated as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
The cabinet changes are scheduled to take effect from January 30, 2026.
Governor Okpebholo expressed confidence that the reshuffle would strengthen policy implementation, improve inter-ministerial collaboration and enhance overall governance in Edo State.
