The family of veteran actor Pete Edochie has reached out to the Department of State Services (DSS) seeking the arrest of a Tiktoker who spread false rumours about the actor’s death.
The move follows a wave of misinformation after both Edochie’s family and management debunked the viral claims of his passing.
Edochie’s first son, Leo Edochie, condemned the report in a viral Instagram video, describing it as “a lie from the pit of hell.”
In a Facebook post on Thursday evening, Leo disclosed that he had formally contacted the DSS to apprehend the Tiktoker responsible and announced a cash reward for anyone providing information that could lead to the arrest.
Sharing a photo of the Tiktoker, Leo wrote: “This young man posted a video on TikTok claiming our father is dead. His handle is @ONE_BOR001. Anyone with information leading to his arrest will be handsomely rewarded. I have contacted DSS, and they are on his trail. DM me with any useful information; you will receive your reward once he is arrested.”
