Bala Mohammed Drops Internal Security Commissioner in Cabinet Reshuffle

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has removed the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, from office.

The development was announced in a brief statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, and made available to journalists in the early hours of Monday.

According to the statement, the governor approved a minor reshuffle of the State Executive Council, which led to Galadima’s removal with immediate effect.

“His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has approved a minor change in the composition of his cabinet,” the statement said.

“In that respect, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, has been relieved of his appointment as a member of the State Executive Council with immediate effect.”

Gidado noted that the decision aligns with the administration’s policy of periodically reviewing its cabinet to inject fresh ideas, strengthen governance, reposition the executive arm for better service delivery, and ensure effective implementation of government policies and programmes across the state.

Governor Mohammed thanked Galadima for his service and contributions to the state during his tenure and wished him success in his future endeavours.

He also reassured residents of Bauchi State of his administration’s continued commitment to peace, security and good governance.

The media aide added that a replacement for the former commissioner would be announced in due course.
