Grammy‑winning Afrobeats star Wizkid has publicly responded to comments made by veteran musician Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, also known as 2Face, reigniting one of the year’s most talked‑about conversations in African music about global success and legacy.
The exchange follows a recent interview in which 2Baba weighed in on the long‑running “Big Three” discussion a debate over who leads Nigeria’s Afrobeats scene globally. In that conversation, the music icon named Burna Boy as the current artist with the most global influence, placing him ahead of both Wizkid and Davido.
Wizkid’s reply came swiftly via his social media, where he addressed the comments with a pointed message. In a now‑viral Snapchat post, the singer wrote:
“At least make peace with your family first before having opinions about music. Old man, I’m never letting it slack in 2026.”
