Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has threatened fresh legal action against fellow actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka following comments he made during a recent podcast interview.
The development comes after Baba Ijesha appeared on the ‘Talk to B’ podcast, hosted by actress Biola Adebayo, where he denied allegations of being a pedophile claims that first emerged in 2021 and were made public by comedienne Damilola Adekoya.
During the interview aired on Sunday, Baba Ijesha claimed that Iyabo Ojo had, at some point, entrusted her children to his care, a statement that quickly sparked reactions online.
Responding via her Instagram story, Iyabo Ojo popularly known as “Queen Mother” by her fans strongly refuted the claim, describing it as false and misleading.
“The court found you guilty based on evidence, so please don’t drag my children into this, else I would direct my counsel to serve you appropriate papers,” she wrote.
Iyabo Ojo was a prominent voice during Baba Ijesha’s 2021 trial, where she publicly supported calls for justice following the allegations against him.
Her latest warning signals a potential new legal battle, as tensions resurface over a case that previously drew widespread public attention and debate within Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
