Nigerian rapper Olamide has revealed that he often feels nervous before stepping on stage, citing past unpleasant experiences during performances.
In an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, the “Baddo” crooner explained that his anxiety stems from several incidents where he was unexpectedly attacked while performing.
He recounted moments when individuals from the crowd suddenly grabbed his personal belongings, such as his chain or hat, describing the situations as frightening and unpredictable.
“I get nervous every time I am going on stage. I have had too many crazy experiences while performing. Someone from nowhere will just come and grab your chain or your hat, you don’t even know what to expect,” he said.
The rapper noted that such encounters have left a lasting impact, making him wary ahead of future performances.
