MohBad’s Widow, Wunmi, Speaks on Deepening Family Rift and DNA Controversy

Wunmi Aloba has opened up about the lingering family dispute surrounding the death of her husband, MohBad, revealing that tensions between them and her father-in-law began shortly after the birth of her child.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Wunmi explained that she and MohBad’s father were once very close before disagreements over her child’s naming ceremony created a serious family feud.

According to her: “We used to be best of friends. I think we fell out after I had my child because of the naming ceremony issues, just family feud that became very serious.”

She further disclosed that after the controversies surrounding MohBad’s death began, she reached out to her late husband’s father for support, but claimed she was disappointed by his reaction.

“When the whole issues started, I was scared and had to reach out to him but he didn’t care. He was just talking about my husband’s properties. I was so confused if I could cope with all of that. I felt he was trying to cheat me because he is older than me,” she said.

Wunmi stated that the conflict has now escalated to a point where reconciliation appears impossible.

“But at this point, I don’t think this whole family feud can be settled anymore because what he wants is not something that I can give, it can never happen,” she added.

When asked what exactly her father-in-law was demanding, she responded:

“He actually wants the DNA result of my child to be negative, wants to be in possession of my husband’s royalty. As the head of the family, I expected him to do it how it is supposed to be done.”

Wunmi concluded by insisting that she has never resisted calls for a DNA test involving her son, Liam.

“I have never opposed to have DNA test for Liam, never.”
