Nigerian social media personality, VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM, has reacted to the ongoing controversy involving media personality Frank Edoho and allegations linking singer Chike to the breakdown of Edoho’s marriage.
In a viral video circulating online, VDM claimed the rumours surrounding the situation could negatively affect Chike’s image and career, particularly his wedding performance bookings.
According to him, Chike’s popularity among women has played a major role in securing high-profile wedding gigs, where the singer is reportedly paid between N50 million and N70 million per appearance.
VDM stated that the controversy may make some married men uncomfortable inviting the singer to perform at their weddings due to the public perception created by the allegations.
He argued that while the issue may appear to have cooled down for now, the long-term effect could still damage Chike’s reputation and reduce the number of wedding bookings he receives.
