JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Mop-Up Results, Admission Ranking Set to Begin

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise conducted for candidates affected by challenges during the main examination.

JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, announced the development in a statement on Tuesday, informing candidates who participated in the mop-up examination that their results are now available through the Board’s approved result-checking channels.

According to Benjamin, the release of the mop-up results marks the completion of the examination process, paving the way for the next phase of the admission cycle. He disclosed that JAMB would immediately commence the ranking of candidates for admission consideration.

He added that the printing of result slips for admission purposes is expected to begin before the end of the week, enabling candidates and institutions to proceed with the admission process.

Benjamin expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, institutions, and other stakeholders for their patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout the examination and result-processing period.

The mop-up examination was held on June 13, 2026, for candidates who were successfully biometrically verified during the main UTME but could not sit for the examination due to technical glitches, biometric verification issues, or other disruptions at their designated centres. The main 2026 UTME was conducted between April 16 and April 25, 2026.
