Famous rapper Nicki Minaj has alleged that powerful figures within the music industry can make talented artists “almost invisible” if they do not comply with certain rules or expectations.
She claimed that many of the challenges she and other artists face in the industry are orchestrated by these influential individuals, whom she did not name.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Bryce Crawford Podcast, Minaj said some of these figures treat musicians like “properties,” using them primarily as tools for profit while allegedly sabotaging those who refuse to cooperate.
The rapper also said she has personally experienced what she described as “constant spiritual warfare” for not conforming to the demands of these unnamed industry powers.
According to her, she was not initially aware of the spiritual dimension she believes exists within the entertainment industry, adding that she would have been better prepared if she had known earlier.
“It was constant spiritual warfare. I wish I kind of knew sooner that this music industry was such a spiritual experience because I felt like I brought a knife to a gunfight,” she said.
