Ondo Man Arrested for Allegedly Beating Father to Death After Domestic Dispute

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 38-year-old man, Nsikak Kingsley, for allegedly beating his biological father, Adone Peter, to death in Oda Community, Akure South Local Government Area of the state.

The arrest was confirmed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, who said the incident stemmed from a disagreement between the suspect and his 65-year-old father that escalated into violence.

According to the police, the confrontation occurred on 28th May, 2026, when the suspect allegedly engaged his father in a heated argument that later turned into a physical assault. The deceased reportedly sustained severe injuries, particularly to the head, during the attack.

The victim was rushed to a medical facility for urgent treatment, despite efforts by medical personnel, he was confirmed dead by the attending doctor while receiving care.

The police spokesperson added that the suspect was arrested after the deceased’s other son reported the case at a nearby police station, prompting officers to swiftly intervene, apprehend the suspect, and commence full investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death.
