The Oyo State Police Command has detained four suspects allegedly involved in the vandalism and theft of telecommunications infrastructure, recovering solar-powered equipment valued at about ₦8 million.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Command spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, and shared via the police official X handle.
According to the statement, operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit arrested the suspects on June 20 during a routine stop-and-search operation at Irepo along the Oyo–Ogbomoso Expressway.
The suspects were identified as Jimoh Mufutau, 35, from Mowe-I
