The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged authorities to release TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, popularly known as SeaKing, who was detained on allegations of treason, cyberstalking, and inciting public unrest.
During the February Holy Ghost Service held at the 3km by 3km auditorium in Simawa, Ogun State, Adeboye stressed that SeaKing’s actions aligned with divine prophecies, which foretold that mockers of God would grow bolder this year.
Adeboye: "Set Him Free, He’s Part of Prophecy"
Addressing the congregation, Pastor Adeboye expressed astonishment over the arrest, pointing out that SeaKing’s criticism stemmed from his decision to declare a 100-day fast for RCCG members.
“I was informed that someone harshly criticized me simply because I asked my children to fast and pray for 100 days. I never imposed it on him; I was addressing my own people.
“I also heard that some individuals were so enraged that they had him arrested. Let him go! He is only fulfilling prophecy,” Adeboye declared.
SeaKing was taken into custody in December 2024 following a video in which he criticized President Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun. A magistrate’s court later granted him bail at ₦500,000, requiring two sureties in the same amount.
Fire Disasters: Adeboye Urges Vigilance and Prayer
In his sermon, Pastor Adeboye also called attention to this year’s prophecies regarding fire outbreaks, storms, and floods, urging Nigerians to take precautionary measures.
He referenced recent fire incidents in Nigeria and abroad, stressing the importance of remaining alert and prayerful.
“I advise everyone to take this warning seriously. If you notice an open flame in your surroundings, put it out immediately,” he cautioned.
Pastor Adeboye’s remarks have intensified discussions on freedom of expression, national security, and the need for spiritual preparedness in the face of potential disasters.
