The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) has confirmed that the 2025 U-12 National Hopes Week will take place from April 2 to 8 at the Training Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The annual event aims to discover and nurture young table tennis talents across Nigeria, bringing the best U-12 players from various states and regions together for an intensive training camp.
According to the NTTF, selected ITTF-certified coaches will train the young athletes, introducing them to advanced techniques and tactics in table tennis.
The program is designed to provide a platform for young players to showcase their skills, gain valuable experience, and prepare for both the continental and World Hopes Week.
“The federation is committed to nurturing the next generation of table tennis stars and promoting the sport at the grassroots level, with support from the ITTF and ITTF-Africa,” NTTF President Ishaku Tikon stated.
He emphasized that initiatives like this will help develop talented players, both male and female, enabling them to improve their skills and ultimately represent Nigeria on the international stage.
Tikon also expressed his appreciation to ITTF and ITTF-Africa for their dedication to developing table tennis in Nigeria.
