Abba Atiku Joins APC, Declares Tinubu Unstoppable in 2027 Election

Abba Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserting that no political party can defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

He made the declaration in Yola on Monday after collecting his APC membership registration card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Abba said he joined the party to contribute to what he described as the most effective economic and human reforms under the current administration.

“I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Bola Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock come 2027. Nigerians have witnessed his achievements; he is not a tribalist, he does not make appointments based on religion or region, and his decisions are purely merit-based,” he stated.

He added that his decision to join the APC was motivated by what he described as massive human and infrastructural development across the country under President Tinubu’s leadership.

“The president needs your support to continue his good work. We should mobilize more people, beyond party affiliations, to support our president,” Abba said.

Handing over the membership card, APC Zonal Vice Chairman for Adamawa Central, Alhaji Isa Bagalti, said Abba’s defection had ended speculation that the party could lose the 2027 election.

“It is now clear to everyone that no party in Nigeria or presidential candidate can challenge our president at the polls in 2027,” he said.

Also speaking, senior APC leader in Adamawa State, Alhaji Jamil Yusuf, described President Tinubu as having no rival ahead of the next presidential election.

He dismissed other aspirants as wishful thinkers, saying they lacked the credentials to challenge the president.

“Many of those claiming they will contest for the presidency see politics as a trade fair, where people buy and sell positions. I advise such individuals to invest in profitable ventures, because the office of the president is now reserved for competent leaders like President Tinubu,” Yusuf said.

Abba Atiku, the first son of the former vice president, is a senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and serves as Commissioner for Works and Energy Development under Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s administration.

Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar is pursuing the presidency under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), without any of his sons currently aligned with him in the party.
