Afrobeats superstar Davido has strongly denied claims by 12-year-old Anuoluwapo Mitchelle that she is his daughter, as a leaked chat allegedly showing the singer threatening legal action against the girl’s mother circulates online.
The dispute escalated after screenshots of a private conversation, posted on Anuoluwapo’s Instagram page managed by her mother, Ayo Labinjoh, went viral. In the exchange, Davido is alleged to have accused the mother of sustained harassment and warned of possible arrest.
While Davido has not publicly confirmed the authenticity of the chat, the messages attributed to him show a firm rejection of the paternity claim. He reportedly wrote, “Stop this nonsense. Keep playing and I will arrest your mother… I’m not your father.”
When the girl insisted her message was personal and not influenced by her mother, Davido allegedly maintained his position, stating that multiple DNA tests had ruled out any biological link.
According to the leaked messages, the singer claimed he had conducted five DNA tests over the years, some selected by him and others by the girl’s mother all of which returned negative results. He reportedly said the prolonged dispute was unfair to his acknowledged children and asked that the matter be brought to an end.
The chat further suggests that Davido intends to make the DNA test results public and pursue legal action against the girl’s mother, warning that the issue could become “messy” if it continues.
The paternity controversy between Davido and Anuoluwapo’s family has lingered for years, occasionally resurfacing on social media, but the latest leaked exchange has reignited public debate around the issue.
