Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara has praised teammate Victor Osimhen for his decisive contribution to the club’s emphatic victory over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.
The Turkish champions, coached by Okan Buruk, recorded a dominant 5–2 win against the Serie A giants in the first leg of their Champions League playoff tie at RAMs Park on Tuesday night.
Sara set the tone for the night by opening the scoring for Galatasaray, while also providing an assist as the hosts overwhelmed their Italian opponents.
Osimhen was equally influential, supplying two assists in the encounter. The Nigeria international created chances for Noah Lang and Sacha Boey, who scored Galatasaray’s fourth and fifth goals respectively.
The striker has now recorded six goals and two assists in seven appearances for Galatasaray in the Champions League this season, underlining his importance to the team’s attacking threat.
Reacting after the match, Sara highlighted Osimhen’s value to the squad, describing him as a key figure in the victory.
“Osimhen is also a very valuable player for us. We knew it would be very difficult. Football can be very unforgiving,” the Brazilian midfielder said in a post-match interview published on the club’s official website.
