I’m Not a Womanizer, I’m a Lover Boy — 2Baba Clarifies Misconceptions About His Personal Life

Iconic Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has opened up about longstanding public labels surrounding his private life, insisting that the “womanizer” tag is a misconception.

In an exclusive interview with Voice of Nigeria, the legendary singer described himself as a “lover boy” who expresses his feelings openly, rather than the promiscuous image often projected in the media.

“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer,” 2Baba said. “I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard.”

He explained that his openness about his relationships and the way he expresses affection has often been misinterpreted by the public. Over the years, social media speculation and media narratives have compounded the perception of him as a playboy, he added.

Now a father of eight children, 2Baba became emotional reflecting on his family life. While he expressed immense pride in his children’s achievements and talents, he admitted a personal regret: not spending enough time with them collectively due to his career commitments.

“I love my children dearly,” he shared. “Sometimes, I wish I had more time to be with all of them together, but my career has taken me far and wide. I hope they know how much I care.”

With this candid revelation, 2Baba seeks to reshape public perception, emphasizing that his respect and admiration for women stems from genuine love, not casual conquest.
