“Nathaniel Bassey Opens Up About Alleged Spiritual Encounter Amid Growing Wickedness”

Nigerian gospel minister Nathaniel Bassey has recounted what he described as a spiritual confrontation with an alleged traditional worshipper who attempted to place him under a spell.

Speaking during a worship session, Bassey narrated that the unidentified individual approached him on two separate occasions but failed in his alleged mission.

According to the cleric, the first encounter occurred along an expressway when the man reportedly knocked on his car and began casting what he described as an enchantment, attempting to influence and command him spiritually.

“I don’t know how we knew, but this was the second time that this same guy, the ‘juju man,’ was coming. One time on the express road, he came and knocked. He was casting an enchantment, hoping that it would influence me. He was commanding me to do something, but I just stood there and laughed,” Bassey said.

The gospel singer explained that he responded by declaring biblical passages, including: “As they went from one kingdom to another, He suffered no man to do them wrong; He rebuked kings for their sake, saying, ‘Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm.’”

He added that he later reflected on the incident, expressing regret that he did not detain the man for the police.

“While he was there, he was waiting for the spell to work on me. But Numbers 23:23 says there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel,” he stated.

Bassey further stressed the importance of spiritual vigilance and protection, warning that there are forces at work beyond the physical realm.

“I came out of my car and ordered him to get out of here, you dirty devil, quick. I’m not saying this to boast, but while we do not glorify the devil, there is wickedness in the world,” he added.

The gospel minister’s account has since drawn reactions among believers and followers, many of whom view the testimony as a reminder of the need for spiritual awareness and covering.
