Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has threatened legal action against individuals circulating what he described as false and damaging rumours linking him to the alleged marital crisis between actress BamBam and her husband, Teddy A.
In a statement shared on social media, Arukwe identified a specific account accused of spreading baseless allegations about his professional relationship with BamBam, which reportedly gained attention after the release of their 2025 YouTube film, Love In Every Word. The film went viral, sparking online speculation that blurred the line between on-screen roles and real-life relationships.
“A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry,” Arukwe wrote. “Those responsible will be held accountable for reputational damage.”
The actor stated that he deliberately refrained from publicizing the social media account to avoid amplifying the situation but warned that those behind the rumours would face consequences. He added that the move is intended to deter others from spreading unverified claims online.
The controversy arises amid renewed public scrutiny of BamBam and Teddy A’s marriage, with online chatter suggesting that on-screen collaborations may have sparked tension. However, neither Arukwe nor BamBam has confirmed any connection to the alleged marital issues.
BamBam has largely stayed silent, sharing only a brief social media video, while Teddy A previously dismissed allegations of domestic violence as false.
Arukwe’s statement serves as a firm stance against misinformation and character defamation, highlighting the growing concerns among celebrities about social media’s impact on professional and personal reputations.
