JAMB Announces Timeline for 2026 Direct Entry Registration, Restricts Process to Official Offices

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement date for the sale of Direct Entry application documents and e-PINs for the 2026/2027 admission cycle, confirming that registration will begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, and close on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

The examination body disclosed the update through its official communication channels, including a recent post on its verified X platform, as part of its admissions schedule release.

According to JAMB, the Direct Entry registration process will be conducted exclusively at its state and zonal offices nationwide, stressing that candidates must not attempt registration at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.

The board explained that the Direct Entry pathway is specifically designed for applicants who already possess advanced qualifications such as ND, HND, NCE, IJMB, JUPEB, or equivalent certificates, enabling them to seek admission directly into 200-level programmes in Nigerian universities.

The announcement forms part of JAMB’s preparations for the upcoming admission season, as the board urged prospective candidates to adhere strictly to official procedures and timelines to avoid disqualification.
