Senator Oluremi Tinubu is set to preach at Lambeth Palace on Thursday during her visit to the United Kingdom, as part of activities surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s state trip.
Lambeth Palace, located in London, is the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury and a key centre of the Church of England.
According to an official itinerary published by Agence France-Presse, the First Lady will also hold meetings with representatives of the Church of England during her stay.
The visit is Nigeria’s first state visit to the United Kingdom in nearly 40 years and is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between both nations.
President Tinubu and his wife arrived in London on Tuesday via Stansted Airport, ahead of a series of official engagements. These include meetings with King Charles III and Keir Starmer, as well as interactions with members of the Nigerian diaspora in the UK.
Oluremi Tinubu, a committed Christian and ordained pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has in recent years been actively involved in faith-based initiatives and programmes focused on women’s empowerment in Nigeria.
