Beverly Hills authorities have arrested a 30-year-old woman after she allegedly fired multiple shots at the home of global pop star Rihanna on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. local time in the exclusive Beverly Crest neighbourhood, with reports indicating that the suspect used an AR‑15‑style rifle, discharging seven to nine rounds. At least four bullets struck the residence or nearby structures, including an RV parked on the property.
Police tracked the suspect’s white Tesla shortly after the shooting and apprehended her about 30 minutes later in a Sherman Oaks shopping centre parking lot. The weapon used was recovered and is now part of an ongoing investigation led by the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division.
Rihanna was reportedly at home during the attack, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. It remains unclear whether her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, or their three children were present at the time. Authorities have not released the suspect’s identity or confirmed a motive for the attack.
The incident underscores ongoing concerns about celebrity security and gun violence in affluent neighborhoods. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including whether the suspect specifically targeted the singer or acted indiscriminately.
