Offset Shot at Florida Casino, Reportedly Stable as Police Detain Two Suspects

Rapper Offset is in stable condition after being shot Monday evening outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, according to multiple media reports and official statements.

The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. in the valet area of the popular Florida venue. Authorities confirmed that the situation was swiftly contained, with two suspects taken into custody at the scene.

A representative for the artist disclosed that Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is currently receiving treatment at Memorial Regional Hospital. “He is stable and being closely monitored,” the spokesperson said, reassuring fans amid growing concern.

Local police described the injuries as non-life-threatening and noted that operations at the casino resumed shortly after the incident. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain ongoing.

Offset, 34, rose to prominence as a member of the chart-topping hip-hop trio Migos, alongside Quavo and the late Takeoff. The group, formed in 2008, became a defining force in modern rap with hits like Bad and Boujee and their acclaimed album Culture (2017).

The shooting comes years after the tragic loss of Takeoff, who was fatally shot in 2022 an event that ultimately led to the group’s disbandment in 2023. Offset had previously described that loss as “unbearable,” underscoring the emotional toll of violence within the hip-hop community.
