President Bola Tinubu on Thursday arrived in Jos to commiserate with the government and people of Plateau State following recent attacks that claimed over 28 lives.
The President landed at Yakubu Gowon Airport at exactly 17:00 hours, where he was received by Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Minister of Defence Christopher Musa, and former and current senators including Jonah Jang and Simon Lalong.
Other prominent figures present included Senator Nora Ladi Daduut, the newly appointed Nigerian Ambassador to South Korea, and former Governor Joshua Dariye. Key security officials were also on hand, including the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu and Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu.
During the visit, President Tinubu is expected to engage with leaders of various communities in Plateau State as part of ongoing efforts to find a lasting solution to the recurring attacks.
