Water Supply Restored: Transcorp Hilton Abuja Debunks Disruption Claims, Blames FCT Maintenance

Transcorp Hilton Abuja has clarified that a brief disruption to its water supply was caused by emergency maintenance works carried out by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board (FCTWB), dismissing widespread social media claims suggesting a prolonged outage.

In a statement issued on Friday, the hotel’s General Manager, Martin Zarybnicky, explained that the interruption lasted only one day, beginning on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

According to him, the management swiftly activated contingency measures to ensure uninterrupted guest services and maintain comfort throughout the period.

“We confirm that there was a one-day disruption in water supply… resulting from emergency maintenance works by the FCT Water Board,” the statement noted.

The hotel further stressed that water supply was fully restored by Wednesday, April 15, countering what it described as false and misleading reports online.

“Since then, the hotel has maintained consistent and uninterrupted water supply and continues to operate at full capacity across all outlets,” it added.

Management expressed appreciation to guests and stakeholders for their understanding, reaffirming its commitment to delivering top-tier hospitality and service standards.
