Burna Boy is set to feature alongside Colombian pop superstar Shakira on the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup titled “Dai Dai.” The track is scheduled for official release on Thursday, May 14.
Shakira confirmed the collaboration in a social media post, announcing: “From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy.”
This marks the second consecutive World Cup where a Nigerian artist will be featured on the official tournament soundtrack. In 2022, Nigerian superstar Davido appeared on the official song “Hayya Hayya (Better Together).”
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, running from June 11 to July 19.
