Three Sisters Found Dead Off Brighton Coast as Father Pays Heartbreaking Tribute

Three women recovered from the sea near Brighton Beach have been identified as sisters, prompting an outpouring of grief from their family, who described them as the “beautiful light” of their home.

Sussex Police said emergency services were called to the Madeira Drive area at about 5:45am on May 13 after concerns were raised for a person’s welfare. Shortly after, the bodies of the three women were pulled from the water.

The victims have been named as Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31. All three were from the Uxbridge area of London, according to police.

Their father, Joseph, paid an emotional tribute, describing his daughters as the centre of his world and the source of joy and strength in their family. He said they brought love, comfort, and happiness to everyone around them.

He added that while their time on earth was short, their impact would never be forgotten. He described them as his “beautiful light,” saying their smiles and presence made life more meaningful and left lasting memories for the family.

Police say there is currently no evidence of criminal involvement, though investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of their deaths. Officers have reviewed extensive CCTV footage and are appealing to anyone who may have seen the sisters around Madeira Drive between 10pm on May 12 and 5:30am on May 13 to come forward, while urging the public to respect the family’s privacy.
