Chelsea FC have confirmed that four players will leave the club when their contracts expire on June 30, 2026, following the release of the club’s retained and released list at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
The departing quartet includes Brodi Hughes, who ends a 13-year association with the club. Hughes joined Chelsea as an Under-8 player and progressed through the ranks at Cobham, spending the previous campaign on loan with AFC Wimbledon in League One.
Also moving on is Richard Olise, who spent a decade with the Blues after joining as an Under-9. During the 2024/25 season, he earned a place in Chelsea’s first-team squad for a UEFA Conference League trip to Astana and featured prominently across several youth levels.
Midfielder Sam Rak-Sakyi will also depart after rising through the academy system from the age of eight. The England youth international made four senior appearances, including his debut against FC Noah in the UEFA Conference League before making three additional appearances in the competition.
The fourth player leaving the club is Jimi Tauriainen, who joined Chelsea in 2020. He was previously named among the substitutes for the 2024 Carabao Cup final against Liverpool FC and later made his senior debut in the FA Cup against Leeds United before featuring in the Premier League against Tottenham Hotspur.
While the four players prepare to leave, striker Ronnie Stutter will remain with the club on a month-to-month contract. Chelsea thanked all departing players for their contributions and wished them success in the next stage of their careers.
