APC Shifts NEC Meeting to Presidential Villa Over Logistical Reasons

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change in the venue and time for its upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, originally slated for Thursday, July 24, 2025.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the meeting will now hold at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, by 2:00 p.m., instead of the party’s national secretariat at 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II.

Morka explained that the decision to relocate the meeting was due to logistical considerations.

The timing of the NEC meeting is seen as particularly significant, as the party is expected to endorse a successor to former National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, who stepped down in June due to health reasons.

Ganduje’s resignation left a leadership gap, and there are indications that current Acting Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, may remain in the role until a full elective convention is convened.

Key items on the NEC agenda include updates from the APC Constitution Review Committee and progress on the party’s electronic registration exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
