FRSC Launches Initiative to Standardise Anambra Driving Schools, Improve License Process

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Anambra State Command, led by Sector Commander Joyce Alexander, has unveiled a new initiative aimed at raising quality standards in certified driving schools and ensuring greater efficiency and transparency in the driver’s license acquisition process.

In a statement on Sunday, the Sector Public Education Officer, Margaret Onabe, said the Command, in partnership with the Driving School Proprietors Association of Anambra State, has produced banners listing the names of all FRSC-certified driving schools in the state.

According to Onabe, these banners will be displayed at all driver’s license centres across Anambra to achieve key goals, including:

  • Educating the public and prospective drivers on FRSC-approved driving schools.

  • Discouraging patronage of unregistered or substandard driving schools.

  • Strengthening compliance with the Driving School Standardisation Programme.

  • Reducing fake or compromised training certificates by increasing visibility and awareness of legitimate training sources.

  • Promoting accountability and professionalism within the driving school sector in the state.

Onabe added that with this initiative, the FRSC aims to reinforce the integrity of the National Driver’s License Scheme, enhance compliance, and advance overall road safety objectives.

She noted that the effort is expected to contribute significantly to reducing road traffic crashes and promoting safer roads across Anambra State.
