The Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, has praised Nigeria First Vanguards Limited for successfully launching the maiden edition of Hope Sentinels magazine.
Speaking through his representative, the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs. Omolara Esan, at the launch held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja, the Minister conveyed his goodwill message to the gathering.
In his remarks, the Minister congratulated the magazine’s editorial and management team, describing Hope Sentinels as “an important and timely initiative.” He stressed that platforms like this play a vital role in shaping national conversations, especially as the country navigates complex challenges and new opportunities for inclusive growth.
“This magazine isn’t just a publication; it’s a platform,” he noted. “It creates space for meaningful dialogue on our past, present, and future as a nation.”
He commended the magazine’s focus on governance, legislation, and security — areas he said are critical to Nigeria’s stability and progress. He also applauded Hope Sentinels for highlighting institutional reforms and the collaboration between the executive and legislative arms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Minister further shared recent developments in the Ministry, including the creation of two new departments — notably the Youth Mental Health and Psychosocial Affairs Department — to address the changing needs of young Nigerians.
“We are committed not only to the economic empowerment of our youth but also to their intellectual and social well-being,” he said. “Platforms like Hope Sentinels give a voice to many who might otherwise go unheard. They challenge us to think deeper, act better, and engage more purposefully in nation-building.”
He urged the Hope Sentinels team to keep using their platform to drive civic engagement, foster national unity, and share stories that inspire positive change.
“Keep going. Keep pushing. Keep using your voice and your platform to move the conversation — and our country — forward,” he added.
The Ministry reaffirmed its support for the magazine’s continued growth and long-term impact in encouraging dialogue and nurturing a generation of patriotic changemakers.
In his welcome address, Mr. Iberedem Eshiet, CEO of Nigeria First Vanguards Limited, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the editorial board, contributors, researchers, and designers whose efforts made the publication possible.
“Each page of this magazine reflects resilience, leadership, and the spirit of collaboration in governance, even amid economic and security challenges,” he said.
He explained that the magazine provides in-depth reviews and interviews exploring government economic plans, legislative reforms, constituency outreach, and the stabilizing roles of security agencies — all focused on safeguarding Nigeria’s progress.
