Adekunle Gold: ‘I Don’t Like Trouble, I Just Want to Live’

Nigerian singer Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has revealed his conscious decision to avoid conflict and embrace peace in his daily life.

In a video shared on X.com by user #OlamideOfficial on Thursday, the Orente crooner expressed his preference for staying away from unnecessary drama.

"Some of us, we just don’t like trouble. In fact, I don’t want to be near it, I just want to live," Adekunle Gold stated emphatically.

He explained that his approach stems from self-awareness about his temperament. According to the singer, when situations begin to escalate, he chooses to remove himself entirely rather than engage.

"Me, I know myself. My mouth is not good at all. Anybody that knows me, my mouth is not good. So, I don’t even want to say anything out of regret, so I’d rather just step away," he confessed.

Adekunle Gold clarified that walking away from conflict does not mean weakness or inability to defend himself when necessary. He also questioned the mindset of those who actively seek out disputes.

"What is your mind like? Why do you not like peace? Why do you not like peace of mind? Why don’t you just walk away?" he asked.
