Renowned gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has issued a strong warning to married men who secretly pursue relationships with young women, cautioning that such actions would attract grave consequences.
Bassey delivered the warning during a recent church service that began trending online on Wednesday. In his message, the cleric condemned the conduct of married men who present themselves as single and engage in sexual relationships outside their marriages.
According to him, any married man who deceives young women by concealing his marital status and taking them to hotels under false pretences would face serious repercussions this year.
The pastor warned that such men may not “come out alive” if they persist, adding that their shame would be publicly exposed and remembered for a long time. “If you’re a married man and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on, and even sleeping with them, I place a demand on the grace of God upon my life. If you try it this year, you won’t survive,” Bassey said. “Your shame will not be forgotten. It will be on social media. If you take a woman to a hotel and you lie while you are married, you will not come out of that hotel. If you like, take what I’m saying jokingly.”
The gospel singer also directed a stern caution at women who knowingly engage in relationships with married men, particularly for financial gain, gifts, or material benefits. “You too, you are a lady. If you know in your heart that the man is married, but because of greed, attention, Brazilian wigs, Brazilian hair, and luxury bags, you still go ahead, if you try it, you won’t survive it,” he warned.
Bassey’s message has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with many applauding his outspoken stance on morality and accountability within relationships.
