The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has formally decorated 265 officers and men following their recent promotions approved by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board.
The ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters in Kano, was presided over by State Commandant Mohammed Hassan Agalama, who congratulated the officers on their well-deserved elevation.
According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the promotion recognizes the officers’ dedication, discipline, and commitment to duty. Commandant Agalama emphasized that the new ranks come with increased responsibilities and expectations for exemplary service.
“Your elevation is in recognition of your dedication, discipline, selfless service, and commitment to duty,” he said. “I urge you to continually uphold the core values of the Corps—integrity, patriotism, loyalty, professionalism, and respect for constituted authority—in all your duties.”
The Commandant also warned against acts of indiscipline or unprofessional conduct, noting that the Corps would not tolerate behaviour capable of undermining its reputation. He stressed that professionalism, teamwork, and strict adherence to operational guidelines remain essential for achieving the Command’s mandate of protecting critical national assets and ensuring public safety across Kano State.
The event was attended by dignitaries including Abdulhakim Kamilu Ado, representing Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, senior officers of the NSCDC, representatives of sister security agencies, family members, and well-wishers.
