Qatar Stars League side Al Ahli SC have confirmed the signing of former Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong.
The experienced central defender joins the Doha-based club from Saudi Arabian side Al Kholood, after signing a contract that will keep him at Al Ahli until June 2028.
Troost-Ekong has been handed his preferred No. 5 jersey and is expected to play a key role as the club targets a strong finish to the season.
Reacting to the move, the 32-year-old took to social media to express his excitement about the new chapter in his career.
“Next chapter! Happy to be here, part of the @ahliqat family!” he wrote.
During his time at Al Kholood, Troost-Ekong made 49 appearances, scoring two goals while providing leadership and defensive stability.
His arrival is viewed as a significant boost for Al Ahli SC as the club continues to reinforce its squad for the remainder of the campaign.
