Controversial Nigerian cleric Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo has responded to criticism from fellow pastors and members of the public over a tattoo he recently revealed.
Speaking during a sermon, Okonkwo explained that junior pastors were not in a position to question him, citing what he described as “ranking in the spirit.” He insisted that certain matters are beyond the comprehension of those with lesser spiritual insight, referencing international televangelist Joyce Meyer as an example of a prominent religious figure with a tattoo.
“I’m insulted because there is ranking in the spirit. My junior can’t talk when I am talking. I posted it because my own position and my own calling and my own constituency requires that,” he said.
