Nigeria’s Super Falcons are set to open their training camp for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Friday, February 20.
The team, led by coach Justine Madugu, will begin preparations in Abuja before travelling to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, for the WAFU B Invitational Tournament. The competition, which runs from February 27 to March 7, will also feature Ghana and Senegal.
The defending champions are expected to participate in additional friendly matches ahead of the WAFCON 2026 finals.
The tournament will double as the qualifying pathway for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, with the four semi-finalists earning a spot on the global stage.
For the finals, the Super Falcons have been drawn in Group C alongside Zambia, Egypt, and Malawi.
