Nigerian skit maker and content creator Cute Abiola has responded to criticism following his decision to publicly document his wife’s childbirth experience, insisting he has no regrets about sharing the deeply personal moment.
The actor, who faced backlash online after releasing the video, took to his X handle to clarify his intentions, revealing that the overwhelming support and emotional reactions from viewers have reinforced his decision.
According to him, the response on his YouTube channel has been filled with heartfelt messages, prayers, and personal testimonies from people who found strength in his family’s story.
“Since yesterday, when I shared our documentary, I have been reading through the comments on YouTube, and honestly, I am overwhelmed,” he wrote. “So many emotional messages, so many prayers, and people sharing their own stories.”
Dismissing the criticism, Cute Abiola said he remains proud of his openness, describing vulnerability as a powerful tool for connection and encouragement.
“I am glad I shared this journey. I am glad I was vulnerable. Most importantly, I am glad this story has motivated someone who might be going through a difficult time,” he added.
He noted that while life is not always perfect, sharing personal struggles can offer hope to others facing similar challenges.
Expressing gratitude, the comedian thanked fans and colleagues for their support, saying, “To everyone who watched, prayed, supported, and sent kind words thank you. My family and I truly appreciate you.”
