Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has opened up about her personality traits and emotional intensity amid the ongoing controversy involving her colleague, Toyin Abraham.
Speaking during an appearance on The Morayo Show, Akindele described herself as someone who experiences emotions deeply, admitting that she can be both fiercely loyal and quick to distance herself from others.
“I know I am too extreme; I can love too hard and also easily cut off people. I must say I’m not proud of that and I’m proud of it. There must be a balance,” she said.
The actress spoke on the importance of human relationships in her life but emphasised that her mental well-being remains a top priority.
“I know I am an extremist. I love so hard, I’m real, I’m not perfect, I can be tough. When my mum was alive, she would always tell me to calm down… It’s good but calm down,” she added.
Akindele noted that while she continues to learn and grow in managing relationships, she remains firm about safeguarding her mental health.
“Human relationships are very important to me, and I’m learning every day, but no matter what happens, my mental health is very important,” she said.
