Controversy has intensified over the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Nasarawa State after two contradictory result sheets from the same ward surfaced, each declaring a different candidate as winner.
The disputed documents are linked to Ningu/Bihar and Ningu/Eghar Ward in Akwanga Local Government Area, and have triggered confusion among party members, observers, and political stakeholders following their circulation online.
In one version of the result sheet, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada was declared winner with 1,790 votes. The same document shows Mohammed Sani Haruna with one vote, Mohammed Adamu Abubakar with zero votes, while Dr. Fatima Abdullahi and Tanimu Adabsun SP each polled one vote.
A second result sheet, however, presents a sharply different outcome from what appears to be the same ward exercise. It lists Mohammed Adamu Abubakar as the winner with 1,790 votes, while Wadada is credited with just one vote. The remaining candidates retain identical figures to those in the first document.
Notably, both result sheets are dated May 21, 2026, and appear to carry identical signatures of the ward presiding officer and party agents, despite producing opposing winners. This has further deepened suspicions about the authenticity and integrity of the collation process.
The conflicting records have raised serious concerns about transparency in the APC primary election in Nasarawa State, with party members and observers questioning how two different candidates could be simultaneously declared winners from what is believed to be the same ward voting process.
