The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has signed the nomination form of President Bola Tinubu for a second term, describing it as a “victory form” and a step toward sustaining ongoing national development.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, Umahi said the endorsement reflects a broader commitment to continuity and consolidation of the administration’s achievements.
He described the nomination form as “a defining moment in Nigeria’s ongoing development journey,” noting that it represents “a collective commitment to continuity, stability, and the consolidation of gains recorded under the current administration.”
Umahi highlighted that Tinubu’s leadership has initiated key infrastructure reforms, particularly in road construction and rehabilitation, which he said are critical to economic growth. He added that ongoing projects nationwide demonstrate the administration’s determination to deliver tangible results and provide a solid foundation for sustained national transformation.
The minister further stated that the president is “well positioned to complete ongoing initiatives and deepen development across all sectors,” while calling for continued public support, stressing that consistent leadership is essential for achieving long-term national goals.
Meanwhile, James Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency and is founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, obtained the All Progressives Congress Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of the president.
Faleke collected the forms in Abuja after the process was declared open by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu.
The forms, valued at N100 million, formally signal the commencement of Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
