Nigerian singer Emoseh Khamofu, popularly known as Bloody Civilian, has said that her career as an artiste has changed her worldview and reshaped her perception of certain cultural and family expectations.
The Taraba-born singer made the revelation during a recent episode of the Not Just On podcast, where she spoke about how fame and the music industry have influenced her personal beliefs.
According to her, some of the conventional values expected from women in her upbringing are no longer appealing to her, despite her family’s expectations.
She noted that one of the major points of disagreement is marriage, explaining that it is not something she is currently considering or looking forward to.
Bloody Civilian said her family often raises the topic of marriage, but they do not fully understand that it is not part of her present plans or interests.
She maintained that her outlook reflects a shift in priorities shaped by her experiences as an artiste, adding that she is focused on her career rather than conforming to traditional expectations.
