The Presidency has mocked the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, following comments he made during a recent interview.
The reaction came from Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication, in a post shared on his verified X handle on Wednesday.
Bwala was responding to Obi’s interview with Oseni Rufai on Tuesday, where the former Anambra State governor spoke on issues including governance and his approach to national challenges.
During the interview, Obi said he would not publicly share detailed ideas on how to tackle Nigeria’s poor electricity supply, a position that attracted criticism from the presidential aide.
In his response, Bwala described Obi’s interview as lacking substance, stating that even with what he termed “leading questions,” the former governor was unable to deliver strong policy direction.
Obi also stated during the interview that if elected president, he would engage and negotiate with agitators from different parts of the country as part of his approach to addressing national issues.
