The successful rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers from Oyo State was carried out through a coordinated operation involving some of Nigeria's most highly trained security units.
Personnel who participated in the mission included operatives of the Nigerian Navy's Special Boat Service (SBS), the Defence Headquarters Special Operations Force (DHQSOF) and its sniper teams, the Nigeria Police Force's Intelligence Response Team (IRT), as well as the Department of State Services (DSS) Special Tactical Team (STATT).
A photograph released after the operation shows some of the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service operators who took part in the daring rescue mission, highlighting the joint efforts of the country's security agencies in ensuring the victims were safely freed.
The operation has been widely praised as a demonstration of the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in tackling kidnapping and other security threats across the country.
Nigeria shall be great again.
